Most concrete cracks occur through time because of natural ground settling. Cracks also form in concrete as a result of seasonal changes in weather causing the ground to expand and contract (between freezing and thawing). After a crack forms, the prospect of water seepage (whether slight or major) is not a matter of if, but a matter of when.
The most effective way to repair cracks in concrete poured foundation walls is via injection with a liquid polymer at a low pressure. Emecole's do-it-yourself kits use either two component hydrophobic urethane foam (which reacts with moisture within the crack to expand and fill all voids) or two component low viscosity fast setting epoxy.
The Emecole 30 ft. D-IY- Foundation Wall Crack Repair Kit enables any D-I-Y homeowner or handyman to easily and permanently repair any poured concrete foundation wall crack up to 30 feet.
All Emecole concrete crack repair kits come equipped with written easy-to-follow preparation and procedure instructions to ensure the job will easily get done right. Also included is a step-by-step CD-ROM instructional video, easily allowing a do-it-yourselfer to visualize the crack repair process with use of the Emecole kit.

Injection by Urethane Foam vs. Epoxy:
Emecole's 30 ft. D-I-Y Foundation Wall Crack Repair Kits are available with either urethane foam or epoxy injection.
Emecole's two component urethane rapidly expands when it comes in contact with moisture. Filling voids both within the crack and behind the wall, quickly hardening to a flexible and permanent repair.
When the structural integrity of the concrete is a problem, or believed to be a problem, epoxy is the preferred material for injection. Epoxies effectively seal cracks while reinforcing
the repair area to be stronger than the non-repaired area around it.
