Common water loss problems associated with built-in concrete pools and spas often are the result of leaking skimmers. The interface of the skimmer at the pool wall creates the most opportunities for leaking problems to occur. The plastic skimmer face can separate from the pool tile, plaster, concrete or coping. These problems may occur due to normal settling, shrinkage, differences in expansion rates due to temperature fluctuations and/or freeze damage.
The Emecole skimmer repair process injects a two part liquid mixed together (urethane foam) rapidly expanding into a flexible foam. The urethane foam fills any voids in the area between the skimmer and the concrete. By filling this void, the need for future maintenance is virtually eliminated.
